Development Coalition

The Hamilton Community Development Coalition, NFP also known locally as the HCDC, is a non-profit group that was formed by dedicated citizens in an effort to improve the City of Hamilton.

HCDC

Our mission:

The Community Development Coalition promotes the City of Hamilton as a desirable, growing community that is planning for the future. Coalition groups work toward the building of community leadership, spirit, business opportunities, and improving the desirability of the Hamilton community.  Developing and sustaining positive community and economic growth are desired outcomes.

eagleAlthough we are a relatively new group, formed in 2001, we have set both short term and long term goals for the organization.  We have regular monthly meetings at the Hamilton City Hall on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM.

Anyone interested in getting involved is welcome to come to any meeting.  We have an open membership with no dues.

A project which has received a great deal of attention recently involves the restoration of the Safford Auditorium by the Safford Group in which some HCDC members helped .

Old covered bridge

George R. Carlisle took this picture in May, 1969, using an Argus C-3 camera with infrared color film. It was limited to foot traffic only by that time and may have been the last picture taken of the old covered bridge before it burned on July 3, 1969.
