Doug
Campbell, founder of Campbell Photography opened his business in
1999. Through the year 2007 Campbell Photography grew and
established clients within our community. In 2007, Doug changed
the name of the business to dcampbell media as it is now know
modifying the name to better fit what the Campbell's family
owned business has to offer.

Dcampbell
media is a full-service photography studio but, what sets them
apart from the others? Doug answers this question breaking down
each service with much pride expressing why they are the best in
the area at what they do.
Low Sitting
fees-"We don't think you should have to pay a fortune to get
your family portraits taken or be pressured by professional
sales tactics. We make our profit by the finished product. In
essence, if we take amazing portraits you will want to purchase
them!"
Kids-"We
don't rush your kids into certain poses or fake smiles. We
schedule an hour for each sitting giving us time to make your
kids feel comfortable and truly capture who they are in an
image. Getting your portraits should be a positive experience,
even if you are a kid!"
High School
Seniors-"Your senior year only happens once in a lifetime! Why
settle with a short photo session or spend a fortune to get a
session that will do what you want to do? dcampbell media's
senior sessions are on average 2 hours, have studio and outdoor
portraits and can have pets, cars, or anything else that
captures who you are. From the tough guy to the elaborate
fashion shots, dcampbell media is passionate about being the
tri-states leader in senior photography."
Weddings-"Your wedding day is possibly the most important day of
your life. All of dcampbell media's wedding packages come with
an entire day of photography. We don't charge you extra for
taking too long or pressure you into seeing each other before
the wedding. Your wedding day is your day. We want to keep it
that way and help you remember your day for a lifetime. We offer
basic albums, custom designed panoramic albums, coffee table
books, DVD slide shows, and much more. We also shoot with
photographer/assistants that help with the formal portraits and
act as a second photographer during the ceremony. Shooting from
two angles prevents a lot of running around during the wedding,
and also allows us to get shots that would otherwise not be
possible!"
Families-"We are one of the only studios in the area that can
accommodate large groups! We do in studio and on location
photography and have even been known to photograph families on
Christmas Eve! Get your family portrait this year with the fall
color!"
Sports-"dcampbell
media provides the latest in digital sports photography. We can
provide personalized memory mates, key chains, buttons, and
much, much more!" Doug continues, "It doesn't end here if you
have an event or other occasion you would like a photographer to
be at... give us a call."
Other
services they provide include: Graphics design services
such as custom business cards, post cards, posters, invitations,
custom menus, and more. Call with your ideas and see what they
can do for you.
"We are
currently debating on having an inventory of photo boutique
related products for customers to purchase. This would be higher
quality photo related merchandise that is harder to find in the
tri-state area." Doug explains. "We may expand the business
again in the future if necessary."
"What do
you like to do when you are not at work?" I asked Doug. "As a
family we like nature photography, hiking, cycling, and
attending church. I also enjoy helping others learn photography
and leading monthly photo walks in the area."
Wrapping up
our interview, I asked, "Do you have any personal advice to give
someone looking to your services?" Dough replied, "For families
and kids...please do your research! If it sounds too good to be
true, it's because it is! While department stores may be able to
give extremely cheap picture packages, people rarely end up with
only that package. dcampbell media does not limit you to a
certain amount of poses or other sales tactics. What you want
with us is what you get! When it comes to weddings, be sure and
research your photographer. Above all, remember to BOOK EARLY!!!
There are more weddings than photographers in this area! Most
dates are booked very early in the year."
In closing,
I asked Dough, "What do you enjoy most about living/working in
the Keokuk/Hamilton area?" Responding with a smile, "We love the
small town atmosphere! It's really cool to see a customer around
town and chat with them for a few minutes. I also enjoy
providing services for the school I graduated from. It's a great
feeling!"
Please help
me than the Campbell's and their family for all their continued
hard work bringing us such a great service for all to enjoy in
our community. Hamilton is prod to have your friendly staff and
services available in our hometown as the September 2008
