The coalition met on February 12, 2008 at the Hamilton City Hall with chairman, Roger MacDermott presiding over the meeting. Minutes from the January meeting were approved and placed on file. No treasurer’s report was given, but three financial matters were discussed, voted upon and approved. It was noted that $211.00 from boards and prints were turned in from the Bald Eagle Days at the Keokuk mall in January.

Updates were given on the bridge, the junction water project and the kiosk. All are waiting on warmer weather to proceed.


In other business

HCDC will have a table at the Hamilton Alumni Basketball Game
Members were reminded of the Montebello Access opening on Saturday, February 23rd.
It was announced that the spring city-wide garage sales will be May 2nd and 3rd with Shirley Bricker as chair.
Several plans were discussed for HCDC’s part in the Hamilton Homecoming Days that are scheduled for June 19th-23rd. Susan will work with Merchant’s Association to prepare the schedule.
Initial Hamilton plans for the Mississippi River Drive will include the fall city-wide garage sales on September 26th & 27th, the Disk Golf Tournament on September 27th, and the Car Show on September 28th.

The next coalition meeting will be March 11th at 6:30 p.m. at the Hamilton City Hall.
